5 Seconds Rule | 3-6 players | ~15 min
Overview
A simple prompt and only five seconds on the clock. The pressure of the timer turns easy questions into mind-blanking moments — a classic quick-thinking party game.
On your turn
- Each turn lasts at most five seconds; once the timer runs out, the turn is over.
- You must give all three valid answers — two does not count.
- A failed card passes to the next player, who attempts the same category.
- Repeats, compound answers, and clearly forced answers can be disallowed by the table.
Winning condition
The first player to reach the target score (usually 5-7 points) wins. Rounds are short, so the game scales well and only gets better with more players.
