Penguin Party Rules

A light card game in which you stack five colors of penguin cards into a pyramid. Setting up positions where you can chain matching colors is the key to staying in the game.

• Shuffle the 30 cards (5 colors × 6 cards) thoroughly.
• Deal the cards out evenly to all players.
• The base row width is number of players + 1 (e.g. 4 players → 5 spaces).

1. Choose one card from your hand and place it in an empty pyramid slot.
2. On the base row, any color may be placed in any empty space.
3. On upper rows, both slots directly below must be filled and the new card's color must match one of those two cards.
4. If you cannot place any card anywhere, you must pass; every remaining card in your hand becomes a penalty card.

When all cards are placed (or every player has passed) the round ends. The player with the fewest penalty cards wins. Ties go to whoever passed later.

• Leave matched color pairs available so you have safe placements next turn.
• Spread cards of the same color around rather than clumping them on one side.
• Blocking the colors your opponents rely on can force them to pass and rack up penalties.
